Every year, we recognize outstanding local advocates for children and youth as “Champions for Children.” The four categories in support of children and families are:
- Educational Opportunities – given to an educator, community leader, volunteer or group who has increased educational opportunities.
- Healthy Children – given to a professional, community leader, volunteer or group who has advocated for policies that promote the physical and emotional health and well being of children & families.
- Strong Families – given to a parent, caregiver, community leader, volunteer or group who has advocated for policies and programs that strengthen families, promote safe communities or increase economic opportunities.
- Youth – given to a young person (21 years or younger) who has demonstrated exemplary courage, creativity, leadership and commitment.
The 2017 awards will be May 4. Nominations are currently being accepted until April 8, 2017. Please download form below:
